This story has been a quiet companion of mine for nearly 15 years, first sparked in a creative storytelling workshop. For a long time, it felt like a distant thought experiment. But today, the world has changed. We've all lived through a collective event that transformed the concept of a pandemic from science fiction into poignant reality.
